    On deletion of account record a plug in is fired which creates an audit record, and I am getting the old value from PreImage but I am getting the following error

    "the requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permission to view it"

    this error I get after the plug-in code is executed.

    I think, you should register the code against pre-Delete event. After teh record is deleted, the record dosen't exits so if you try to manipulate in any way you will see the above error. or there is some other plugin registered against the post delete.
