My previous version expired on 1/1/09. I bought a new version for Vista at the store. I then ran "Uninstall program" on my main computer to uninstall the old OneCare and then I installed new version. After a week, I am still getting the message that my computer is at risk because my One Care has expired.
Why didn't Windows uninstall that reminder when I did the uninstall. Why isn't it recognizing the new version?
I have two other computers to install the newer version but I am waiting until I can get this resolved.
I'll add that the procedure for renewing with the key only needs to be done one time. All PCs in yoru subscription are already using the latest version, or should be. There is no need to use the CD to reinstall. -steveMicrosoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare Forum Moderator
