E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I know this is not unique, but wonder why it crops up from time-to-time when the index file was not updated since 13 Dec 2019. I expect to see this only in the week after a release, not 1 month later.

  • Hi paulijohn32,

Can you please help elaborate your scenario more so that we can help route this request accordingly. If there is a specific documentation you are following or script which you can share and steps on when you are getting this error would further help to evaluate and put in the right forum. Thank you.
