  • Question

  • Hiya.

I have encountered the blue screen of death for an ati radeon 9600 video card.

Here is the valueable TECHnical information.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

blah blah try restarting blah blah contact administrator... blah blah

    0x00000050          (0XBCFC1000,0x00000000,0xBF9F3D57,0x00000000)

    ati2dvag.dll            address BF9F3D57 base at BF9E6000, Date stamp 3F62844B

I would like to have the drivers installed for the card.

    Removing drivers kills BSOD...

Any suggestions that would get it working?

    Cheers

  • ATI has no specific windows Server 2003 drivers, which is what you need for best compatibility. You can either abandon the Radeon driver you're having trouble with (not really a problem in a server environment, though the error in Hardware Manager is annoying), or you can try installing the XP version of the display driver, downloadable as option 2 from ATI's web site. When you install, try running the installer in XP compatibility mode.
