Backup/Restore Icon Gone RRS feed

  • Question

  • Yesterday I was doing something on another issue, and I got a pop-up referencing something bout stopping backups from other devices. I said OK (I wish I had paid more attention to what I was doing). I end result was that I now have no way to access Backups in Icon on the Dashboard has been removed. See screenshot attached.

Any ideas on how to get it back?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Hi,

According to your description, my understanding is that Computers and Backup tab is missing from Dashboard.

On the dashboard, click the Help(with triangular symbol) on left of your screenshot, and select to open Safe Mode. Make sure that Computers and Backup is enabled, or, try to re-enable it manually to check the result.

Besides, you can click Start – All Programs – Windows Home Server – Dashboard(Safe Mode) to check the settings.

    Best Regards,

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Computer and Backup was indeed disabled. Your suggestion solved the problem.
