I have an HP Pavillion PC. Suddenly Windows Vista is not Genuine any longer. Build 6002. I bought it new 2-3 years ago at Best Buy and have no reason to doubt its authenticity. I am not sure how to re-validate. I have product key tag on the side of the machine. I have been downloading updates regularly from Microsoft all alone. There is, however, one update that has failed 20+ times in the past month.Where do I go from here.
Thanks.
Joe

For some reason your PC is unable to properly read the SLIC table in the BIOS that is required to validate the OEM_SLP license Key in use.You need to change the Key to the one on your COA sticker on the case - using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System Properties page.Once done, you will probably need to activate by telephone.
