Possible to have image as hyperlink in CRM email template?

Question

Hi
I am aware that you can insert a hyperlink to a CRM email template using Ctrl+k and that you are able to copy an image into an email as long as it is hosted on a website somewhere...but is there any way I can make that image a hyperlink? So that when it is clicked it goes to a webpage?
I have tried highlighting the image and using Ctrl+k but that give me an error "An error has occurred in this dialog. Error: 100 Function Expected". However if I select a text string and use Ctrl+k I get a window where I am allowed to insert the url for the hyperlink. Is there any way to get the image as a link?
Thanks!

Take a look at the wak-through in this link: Stunning Rich HTML e-mails with Dynamics CRM 2011 – Episode I
Basically involves creating HTML content, wrapping the image in an <a> tag and copying the completed content into the email template.

Thanks Jason, that works! I really wish MS just made the whole email template creation a rich text editor rather than having to create an HTML email and then pasting it in. Either way, got it working...thanks a ton!Monday, June 3, 2013 7:00 PM

I have been looking for a solution to our email signature. If you have something you can share that would be great. We normally have Jpegs with our logo and pictures in our email signature which don't work in CRM. Any information would be appreciated.Monday, August 12, 2013 5:31 PM
