Windows 7 Suddenly Saying Not Genuine

Question
-
Hi,
I am running Windows 7 Professional on a Dell Latitude D820. I have been running Windows 7 for over a year now without any issues. All of a sudden yesterday, the desktop has gone black and in the corner it says 'This copy of Windows is not genuine'.
I am using a genuine key from my Microsoft Action Pack Subscription, and installed using the Windows 7 download from my Partner Login account.
When I try and activate, it gives the error code 0x8007000D. If I try and change the licence key, and re-enter the original key, I get the same error code. If I try and use the Automated Phone activation, I get the same error code, and the message, The Data Is Invalid.
I have tried using sfc / scannow and this did not help. System restore is not working so I cannot role the computer back. I have tried phoning the Activation Team and have been passed around differnt departments without any success becasue of the licence being from my Action Pack Subscription.
Becasue of this problem certain features have been diabled which I need to do my everyday job. I have searched all over the internet, but to no avail for the answer, so I would be very grateful for some help and support on this issue as I am using a genuine licence!
Many thanks in advance
Scott

Hi Scottie G,
Would you click the Start button, right-click Computer and select Properties. In the window that opens, scroll down and click the Change Product key button. Follow the directions using the same Product key that came with your Windows 7.
My hope is that Windows will see this as a "new" product key and recreate it's Licensing data using that "new" key.
If that doesn't work, the only thing else I can suggest is to contact support at one of the below URLs or reinstall windows.

1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection survive may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
8) Type: net start sppsvc
9) Type: slui.exe
10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. It's most likely that Activation will occur automatically but you may be asked to re-enter your product key and/or to reactivate.

It may be your security software is getting in the way - try doing the same thing from a Clean Boot....

Hi Noel,
I have tried everything listed and I still get exacly the same error I am afraid.
I can't believe that I am going to have to resort to a clean install of Windows to repair this error, especially as it is genuine software that I am using!
If I have the original key, can another installation key be generated for me?
Many thanks
Scott
