Windows 7 isn't activated after I switched back to it from Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Both, Windows 10 and Windows 7 (before I upgraded) were activated. My Windows 7 version was activated for several years now.

  • They obviously installed a counterfeit version of Windows 7 - you should pursue them for a refund!

The Vista COA sticker should still be on the case?

  • It looks very much to me as if the installed Windows 7 is counterfeit.

The Product Key is from an ACER computer - while your motherboard is a retail one.

Is there a COA sticker on your machine? for what version and edition of Windows is it valid?

If there's no COA sticker - where did you purchase your Windows installation from?

  • About 3 years ago I had problems with my Windows Vista, so I sent my pc to a repair station, were they purchased a Windows 7 version for me. So I don't have a COA sticker.
