Reinstalled genuine copy- still not passing WAT

Question
-
Hi all- I am STILL getting the not genuine message. Last I was here, it was suggested that the trouble was my copy of MS Office, so I went and bought a new, genuine, straight from the student bookstore copy of it, uninstalled the old, reinstalled the new. When I go to resolve online, it says my windows7 is not genuine, yet it came with my computer when I bought it about 6 months ago. I do not want to reinstall Windows for a number of reasons- the largest of which is backing up all of my darn files (and yes, I know i should do that anyway, but my point remains).
Can anyone clue me in as to why I'm still getting errors, and how to fix it? I have attempted to resolve online a number of times.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

A system protection file (sppcommdlg.dll) has been modified and hinders the validation process to be successful. You must find a way to restore it to it's original state. Try the steps suggested in the following thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinewindows7/thread/0d576dfb-7f38-4055-9461-ae988530e532, and report back if that did help you or not.

Below is the pertinent information from the link Sanmartin provided:
First try doing a System Scan. The scan will look for bad system files andwill attempt to repair them, if possible.1) Click the Start Button2) Type: cmd.exe3) Right-click the cmd.exe file and select 'Run as Administrator'4) In the CMD window, type: sfc /scannow5) Reboot and see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, try repairing Windows using System Restore:1) Click the Start button2) In the Start Search field, type: System Restore and hit “Enter”3) Select "Choose Different Restore Point", Put a check in the box that says"Show restore points older than 5 days", select the restore point thatcorresponds to the date Before you first noticed the issue.4) Click the "Next" button.5) Reboot and see if that resolves the issue. If neither of these sets of steps resolves the issue, my only other suggestions would be either to create a (no cost) suport request at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactwga or reinstall.Thank you,
