CRM 2011 for Outlook Client (On-Premise RTM) hangs Outlook 2010 RRS feed

  • We have upgraded CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011 RTM On-Premise.

    And upgraded outlook client too (for Outlook 2010 x86).

    Now Outlook very very often suddenly hangs for several minutes and also suddenly un-hangs but after several minutes it hangs again.

    Users how have not CRM 2011 plugin configured do not have that problem.

    Who can help us with advice??? Thanks in advance!

  • One suggestion that has helped others is to completely uninstall the Client, reboot, then install again.  (I know that sounds like a generic non-answer, but in this case there seems to be value in re-setting the client to a clean installation point.)

    Also if the client is on a slow connection or has a shortage of memory (minimum specs have gone way up from 4.0), the 'hang' may be during a time where CRM is attempting to retrieve and apply your configuration to the laptop.
