My windows is genuine...why do I keep getting this error! Please help! RRS feed

  • Hi I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool -

    This was a work laptop - I worked part time for a university, I know the windows is genuine.  I don't know why this is happening.  I can never get back there while the IT guys are in.  I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

  • Tha License here is a Volume KMS one - which requires periodic re-activation by a private server.

    Since your machine is no longer attached to the Uni's server, it can no longer be re-activated in this way.

    For which version and edition of Windows is the machine licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case?
