WHS Install Prob- No Network Connectivity RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just installed trial version of WHS. All appeared ok till I went to gain network connectivity....nothing.  LAN port checks good.  To my knowledge NIC is good.  Not familiar with servers but went to cmd prompt and tried to do an ipconfig and it does not seem to recognize that command.  Any thoughts on where to start troubleshooting?

Did you install the driver for your NIC?

  • No I did not.  Would it have prompted me to do that, or is it something I need to do seperately from the install?

  • Hi,
unfortunately setup will not ask you explicitely for drivers.
You will have to log in locally and check the device manager for yellow components.
