Question

I was infected with a virus that required me to reformat my drive. Upon doing so, I find that I need my product key and I can't find it. Please help

If your XP Pro CD was a system builder/OEM CD, request a replacement from your system builder. If they cannot help, order a replacement from Microsoft:

I suggest that you go and download a software to reveal your Product Keys, and then reformat next time, or save the Product Keys on a text document on another computer, or HD.Saturday, August 11, 2007 6:00 PM

If your system still running you can use special software to recover your Windows and Office key. Most of them support some versions of Windows and some other Microsoft products. Also there is a products like "Recover Keys" ( http://recover-keys.com/ ) that support all Windows and Office versions and 300+ of other major software packages.
