Problems running programs in validated Windows 7 Enterprise

Question
-
I just upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise (actually was forced to do the custom upgrade, under which none of your files or programs are kept, because a regular upgrade is not supported from Vista Home Premium to 7 Enterprise... that was surprising to me, but whatever. I recently had to do a system restore to solve some other problems anyway, so starting over again was no skin off my pecker).
Anyway... successful installation, everything looks good, the product key was validated and appears to be good to go. The problem is that upon opening the setup .exe's for several of the programs I have tried to install (Adobe Reader, Skype, Symantec Endpoint Protection, WinRAR, etc.), I recieve an error message that says the program in question has "encountered a validation error." I don't know what to make of these, because no matter which of the choices I select, the message reappears with a new Assert offset value.
Eventually, after enough of these alerts, the program in question will invariably quit working and shut down.
I have encountered two exceptions to this problem, with Google Chrome and VLC Player. The installations for both of these programs ran without any trouble, so I'm thinking I just have some compatibility issues with the other programs I'm trying to install, although that doesn't seem likely. Anyway, it is kind of a pain in the ass, and I'd love some help figuring out how to avoid these messages. Here is my diagnostic report. I would be happy to include any more information if needed. Thanks in advance,
Luke

Even though it says "...Validation Error" it is not referring to Genuine Validation. To my knowledge Skype has no Genuine check functionality. Because of this and because you have not mentioned that Windows is experiencing any Non-Genuine issues, itself (and since your Diagnostic Report shows no Non-Genuine indicators) this does not appear to be a Windows Genuine Advantage issue. Unfortunately, this means this issue is Off Topic for this forum
It could be that Noel is correct and this is RAM related, but since the issue is occurring when you are trying to install programs, I suggest that you first go to the Programs section of the Windows 7 Answers Forum http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs for assistance with the issue.
Thank you,

Validate Windows at
http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/
then try your programs again.

Tried it, man. No change.
UPDATE
Programs iTunes and DVDFlick installed correctly. Still having problems with brand-new, fully updated versions of Skype, Adobe, WinRAR.

That sounds to me like a problem with RAM, rather than Windowsdownload MemTest86+ from memtest.org – create the CD,boot with it, and run it for a few hours – see what it reports.
