Can I use Windows XP Pro to upgrade to a genue version? RRS feed

  • Hi, I have a friend, who has lacks a product key for his Windows XP installation.  If I buy Windows XP Upgrade, can he upgrade his Windows XP installation to be legal and genuine?

      If your friend's computer has a Win XP install with no Product Key, then there is no Genuine version of Windows installed on that computer, therefore, what would he be "upgrading" from?
