Sub Forums needed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm a moderator for the Bing Maps forums and we need to break the forum up into sub forums. As of today there are now 8 different API's that are being directed into this forum. This is making answering questions very hard as many of the API's have similar functionality but have completely different ways of doing things. Any information on who I can contact to make this happen would be greatly appreciated.

  • I've been trying to get sub forums for the Bing Maps product for several years now and have had no luck finding the right person to do this. We have over 12 different API's and one forum. This makes it extremely difficult to answer questions as the first response is almost always "Which API are you using?". This results in it taking longer for us to answer questions. It also makes it hard for our product group to go through and look at issues based on each API. Can someone point me in the right direction to get this sorted out.

  • Figured it out. The easiest way to get this done, if you work at Microsoft, is to use the Site Feedback button at the bottom of this site. The support team will send you details of an internal site for requesting this.

  • Richard,

Are you sure those who ask the questions are expert in all those API's. Otherwise they never find the right forum so moderators are only busy with trying to move them to other forums, but as they don't know currently about what the question is, they better can answer them.

Just about my experience with all kind of sub newsgroups.
