gameguard = rootkit\keylogger\hijacker RRS feed

  • Question

  • if what they say about this program is true i have like 9 gameguard protected games on pc o.o is there anyway u can block thier rootkit\hijacker? i think they also hijack pp'l computers cuz they can force a reboot giving u the bsod which is annoying to have to reinstall everything cuz of gameguard since it's restart is instant it's not like a normal restart where all the dll's loaded into memory and programs,etc all close 1 by 1 and then restart ur pc instanly restarts which i think causes potention damagebecause they di dnot get to save thier open work......so can u block thier rootkit? ( srry for typing like this and not typing out the full words but i'm a teen what u expect....it's not professional >.>)

  • Hello CyberNaruto,

      I am not aware of the issues, with Gameguard, that you speak of. The only problem I am aware of is that Gameguard was incompatible with Vista. The makers of Gameguard have since updated thier software to be Vista compliant but the maker of each game that uses Gameguard, must update thier game, with a patch, to update that specific game's Gamegaurd to the compliant version.

      Any other issues you may have with Gameguard should be taken up with INCA Internet (http://eng.nprotect.com/) who are the developers of the nProtect Gameguard software.
