Warning Received When I Added Software RRS feed

  • Question

  • I added software, recommended by one of the "tech" sites, to help me with  finding the numerous duplicate music files that pop up thanks to Itunes.  After downloading it and going through the entire setup I received this message:

Warning:  Could not get Winamp/WMPlayer path!

If winamp/WMPlayer is installed, you should add its path manually from the Options dialog.  If you want to use another player and it supports passing the music files as parameters to the command line then you are free to USE it :D.        "OK"

I don't have winamp or WMPlayer on my computer, as far as I know (I did a "search" and came up with nothing).  My media players are Itunes, Windows Media Player and VLC.

Should I just ignore this "warning"?  Thanks

  • You'll probably need to consult the software vendor on this. You can always ask general questions on windows issues over here.
