CRM on a SharePoint farm? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a SharePoint 2007 farm consisting of 5 servers, two load balanced WFE's, an inde/application server and a SQL 2005 cluster of two servers.

Can CRM 4.0 be installed on this farm alongside SharePoint?

Can CRM be load balanced on the two WFE's?

    Thanks.

  • CRM & MOSS can co-exist on the same hardware, but they require separate websites with different ports.  Both rpoducts like to take control of the website they are installed on, thus this req.  You would need to establish a new config on your load balancer to route traffic to the CRM websites, but is should work on the same machines.

  •  Hi,

Offcourse you can install CRM & Sharepoint on the same APP servers, both can run on different ports (or IP's)

For NLB (network load balancing) you can have a look at this great article: http://rc.crm.dynamics.com/rc/regcont/en_us/op/articles/crm_server_nlb.aspx
