onecare and windows home server RRS feed

  • Question

  •

We have a desperate need for onecare support for windows home server. Mcaffee is now pushing their software and I refuse to use anything other then a microsoft product.  I would like to know if there is going to be a beta test for a WHS version of OneCare and when.

would be glad to test it.

    thank you

  • Nothing has been announced regarding OneCare and Windows Home Server. However, since OneCare for server, which will run on 64 bit Windows Server 2008, is available now for trial download, and it would seem likely that the next version of WHS will be based on Windows Server 2008, it would seem that we may yet see OneCare for Windows Home Server. I imagine we'll hear about it first at the WHS forums from the WHS team when the next version of WHS is ready for testing and then we'll see if OneCare for Server will work on it.
