    i think MS should reduce the point limit from something like 10k to a more reasonable 5k so that many more people become eligible for the prizes..

    What i am trying to say is that there will be only 20 odd people who will be eligible to win prizes, so if they make it say 5k atleast a hundred people can win something..

    What do you guys say..

    the only good thing that happened due to rockstar was a little bit of increase in my programming skills.

    Thanks for your words of encouragement. But i think we should all join hands and come up with a way to make MS realise that the 10k min limit is too much, and that it should be something more reasonable. After all the hard-work we are putting in, the least they can do is, give us a better chance and result for our dedication. What say???

    MS should decrease the points barrier atleast after the closure of points accrual and before  the announcement of results , so that atleast top 100 are eligible for prizes

    I think only 10 - 15 people will be having 10k points. 20 is still a large figure.

    student rockstar is a great event for me too, as it teaches many things ...

    I think its worthless to state it right now to reduce the points.. because it will bring down the charm of the competition... But dont worry, microsoft is not so dumb....
    They will bring down the barrier point according to their need at the declaration of finals...
    its like if they want top 100, then they will bring down the barrier to make the top 100 ranked people eligible.. they can do it, but only at the time of final declaration.. right now its not possible..
    so just chill guys.. continue your good work and you will get paid for it for sure

    I think MS is scrict about it an has made clear right through the beginning of the contest.

    But we still can hope for the decrease of the 10K limit. We know it wont happen but , I guess that would make us happy till the end of the contest.

    no one is here to get express cd's and such stuff.. Most of us here are having less than 10K points which means we won't be evaluated for being for a student partner.

    But All that I want all the top 250 participants should be evaluated for being a student partner and maybe then Microsoft can have atleast a 100 student partners this year all over the country..

    i swear.. i want to become the student partner and nothing else. its been a great learning experience and i want to learn much more than i'm doing right now.. also prizes like xbox and mobile phones will take me away from my dream to work for microsoft one day.

    Hey man i think there are about 15 persons who have crossed the 10K rank, the next 5-10 are just few points short, i think some of them will make it after the points for the month of May be updated, rest will have a final chance in the 15 days of June Wink
