Learning to write SQL Statements using the AdventureWorks sample DB RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've instalelled MS SQL Server and have the AdventureWorks DB.  I wanted to use a tutorial to learn how to write SQL statements (to select data, update data, using joing, etcc..) that provided sample sql code for the AdventureWorks DB.

I've also installed content called documentation and tutorial, but that just seem to have reference information and generic sample code.

  • Hi

You know, I give you the best  way to learn T SQL syntax very fast. No tutorials no video nothing. You need only to get SQL Management studio and a populated data base that's all.

For every operation that you perform on the management studio there is button in each GUI interface that is labeled Script at the top left, just choose script action to query and try to parse the code. If you do not understand a keyword then you can just Google it.

Here is a link to a docx for my self

Hope that help, Oh I forgot please mark this as answer if you're satisfied, cause it helps me gain some points ; )

The complexity resides in the simplicity
