MS CRM 2011 - Making a new entity to under a new solution

Question
-
I made a new solution. Now, when I make a new entity under the new solution, the new entity comes also under the default solution.
Is that correct or what I am doing wrong? Maybe I misunderstood something...I thought that everything I will make under the new solution comes only under that.

Hi,
I think you are trying to create entity through Settings > Customization > Customize the System. This way entity will be created in default solution. If you create entity through following steps, you will be able to create entity in your new solution. Even if you create an entity in new solution, they will still be visible in default solution.
1. Go to settings and select Solutions under customization.
2. Double click on newly created solution to open the the solution, it will open the solution in new window (or Tab).
3. Click on new and it will open the list of options to create. Select Entity. It will open a new form to create entity.
4. Create the entity and save and close.
5. Publish the solution.
Your entity will be created now under the newly created solution.
I hope it helps you. Please mark it as answer if it help you.

I made the entity just like you advised and the new entity comes under both solutions. So this is a normal scenario?Thursday, June 20, 2013 7:56 AM -
Yes, its normal.
Basically, when you go to Settings > Customization > Customize the System
It displays the whole system customisation. To see what individual solutions have, go to: Settings > Solutions > and then double click the solution.
