Shared folders problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I click on "shared folders on server" icon, I get a netword path not found error.
I can open the console from the same machine. In the toolkit under WHS connectivity, I get the following:

Last night, I uninstalled the connector software from this client and reinstalled it. I could then open the shared folders and also have the green WHS icon in the tray. When I tried to open the shared folders this morning, it gives the network path not found error.

  • I used the advanced WHS Connector Troubleshooter and found a problem with the server certificates. I reset the certificates and reinstalled the connector software on each client and that fixed that issue.

It has been running for a day and a half now with no issues.

    Thank you for your response.

  • Probably you're having some sort of name resolution problem. What happens if you restart your PC? Your server? Can you reach your shares then? What are the results if you ping your server by name, and by IP address, when you can reach the shares? When you can't?
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
