Have alerts stopped working or is it just me?

My alerts haven't worked all day, and now that I try to set it up again, I don't receive the confirmation email. I saw the other post about losing settings. I didn't lose my settings.

I just re triggered a confirmation email, so I didn't see a problem with that.

I've had this problem before. I solved it by creating a gmail account specially for receiving alerts. This has worked up until yesterday without problem (except when the forums were kind of down last week).
I have tried 2 other email addresses, and I don't get the confirmation email. It says it sent it but no go.
This so un-cool, because I rely on these alerts to keep up with what's new, and there is no RSS feed on "My Forums Threads", which page I now have to keep open and refresh manually.
