setup auto-response to email in queue RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I need to quickly know if it is possible to do the following using the email router and MSCRM Dynamics 4.0:

    1. Configure a queue that will be used to send a receive email.

    2. For emails received by the queue setup a workflow that sends an auto-reply back to the original mailer

    3. The auto-reply email can be a email template with dynamic values

    Is this possible and does it require a lot of customization?

  • That all sounds possibles, yes.

    1. Create a Workflow triggered on the creation of an 'Email' entity instance
    2. Check with a Check Condition step that the Email was sent to your Queue
    3. Create Email step using template
    4. Set the 'From' address to the 'To' address from the Email entity instance
    5. Set the 'To' address to the 'From' address from the Email entity instance
