I am looking into starting my first Microsoft certification and am interested in the Server side of things. In doing my research, I've seen people say that if you have no server experience you should begin with Server Admin Fundamentals either for 2008 or
2012 Server. I've signed up for MVA and TechNet but am trying to figure out which course to begin with rather than doing something that will get me in over my head. I do have some basic networking knowledge and OS level knowledge but am completely unfamiliar
with Server at this point. Could someone suggest a first step?
MTA is an entry level certification exam, but I'd recommend you to get some experience on Windows Server before trying to take the exam.
You consider the "Introduction to Windows Server 2012 R2" learning path on the Microsoft Virtual Academy to begin.
Bye.
