Tech deleted profiles, now states 'this copy of windows is not genuine' build 7601 Win 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We had a tech work on a laptop and deleted some profiles (not sure why)  It now says that the copy of windows is not genuine build 7601 for Win 7.

I have ran the diagnostic tool and when trying to copy the data it gives another error 'failed to create output files, hr=0x80070002. please contact support'

This is a corp version that was installed via SCCM/PXE

I have also tried to rename the token file and restart the service with no results

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • The data is still copied even though you got an error message.  Go ahead and paste it in.  But paste it into Notepad first and delete any web addresses listed, then move it here.

  • Did you ask the "tech" why he deleted the profiles?
