How do I access files from a deleted user in Windows 7

  So I created a new user in my Windows 7 PC and deleted my old one,  and I was wondering how I can access those files that were in the deleted user.  It is taking up space in my Local Hard Drive and I wanted to know if there was a way to delete them.  I still want to keep the programs that are already installed and I just want the files I cant access gone.  Thanks for any help in advance!

  Btw, the space taken up in the Local Hard Drive is not just the programs installed.  I've compared the amount of space I used when I had the old account and when I deleted it.  It's just around a 2mb difference and I had loads of files on my old account.
