Windows Live Movie Maker 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I recently started a video project using Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 on my computer that runs Windows 7. After almost completing my project, I updated Movie Maker to the 2012 version since I needed certain features the 2011 version did not have.

While editing using 2011, I had no problems. After trying to open the file in the 2012 version, I could not touch anything - the file would open, but if I tried to edit/save/publish/click on anything the whole program would not respond. I have tried various recommended fixes, including using different compatibility modes and freeing up the space in my hard drive, but it continues to freeze.

I have also tried to put my project on my USB and open it on another computer, but it cannot open in the Movie Maker (2011) on my laptop with the error that the file is damaged/corrupt. Please help!
