Answers

  • Hi there, the answer is sadly no.

The MCITP Enterprise Administrator certification in Windows Server 2008 was originally published in April 03, 2008. Questions in the corresponding exams were later updated to include 2008 R2 material – however, no new exams or certifications were released for the Server Administrator or Enterprise Administrator tracks.

As mentioned in Fazal's post, to gain charter member status, you must active the certification within six months of the publish date.

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Jon.

  • Hi Africon IT,

Charter Members are the pioneering group of individuals who achieve a certification within six months following the retail release date of the certification. (People who pass the beta exams will receive the Charter certificate after the certification is commercially released.) Charter Members are recognized by receiving the Charter version of the certificate acknowledging their early adoption of the certification. The Charter version of the certificate has the word "Charter" imprinted across the top. If you have any of the following certifications, you are eligible for the Charter certificate: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD).

  • Hi,

which certification path do you mean?

The exams for Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 are available for a while now and there are no special exams for R2 releases. You can find more information about available exams on this site - http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcitp.aspx#tab2
