    I'm using the last UK version from 2005 with the patch included.  I have begun receiving an error message "Your Account list reflects an incorrect balance because of a minor technical problem with the way Money stores your information.  You can see the correct balance in your account register.  The issue does not affect your actual account data. Money will automatically try to fix the inconsistency the next time you open Money"  This has gone on for weeks now.  I've managed to trace some of the rogue data, it is greyed out and cannot be deleted.  Help?

    You could check that the problem does not occur with sample.mny.
    That typically resides in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005" or
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Money 2005"

    Assuming the problem does not occur with that file, I would return
    to your regular Money file (you can use the list at the bottom of
    File).  I would start with File->RepairMoneyFile->QuickFileRepair

    If the problem continues,
    File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 2

    If the problem persists,
    File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 1
