How do I log into Access Forums with my user id? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently got a new computer, but when I go to:

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/home?forum=accessdev

Microsoft insists I log in with 'Email, phone or Skype'. But my forum account is under a user id, not a phone number email address or Skype!

So to post this question I fired up my old computer, where I remain logged in under my user id, and here I am to post my question. Is my current account just SOL because login with user id is no longer valid, or is there some way to log in with my user id?

Thanks in advance for any help.  --Fred

P.S. I had to change my user id just a week ago because Microsoft would not let me change the email address on my last account for some reason, and now it won't let me into my new account. Go figure.

  • Hello Fredrated451,

This forum(Access for Developers) is for issues related to using Access and I think your issue is more related to using forums so I would move the thread to Forums issues forum.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Terry

  • When you create an MSDN forums profile it is associated to a microsoft account. The microsoft account is only used for the authentication method. You might be able to reset the password for your microsoft account here.

If you can't sign in then I'd work through this one or also chat / email support using the links at page bottom.
