CRM 2011 Online AD Authentication using office 365 portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • From what I understand its possible to use AD authentication when using with Office 365 portal and federating AD.

My question is will this require a subscription to Office 365 as well or is it possible to do this without having to pay for the Office 365?

    Thanks

  • Hi Cerw1n,

The AD authentication will only work if you provision CRM Online through the Office 365 Portal.

Therefore, you will need to have an Office 365 subscription in order to do this.

At this stage, Microsoft haven't provided a way to use Federated AD to authenticate against CRM Online outside Office 365.

    Hope this helps.
