Is a complete backup required after a reinstallation of live onecare? RRS feed

  • I recently encountered issues with my onecare circle and long story short, I had to have chat help resolve the problem. In doing so, they reinstalled live onecare on my hub computer. Now, it is time for my scheduled backup and I'm being prompted for what is the equivalent of an entirely new backup! I have checked the settings for my Central Backup Device and they are correct. Any ideas? thanks

  • Yes, a reinstall and a database reset are two reasons for needing to start backup over again with a new, full backup. The old backups are still valid for restore purposes, but cannot be added to for subsequent incremental backups.
