SincToy vs Raid RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have a RAID 0 in my machine, with two 160 Gb SATA hard drives. I write or read from the RAID only occasonially. I want to liberate one of the SATA socket used in the RAID in the motherboard by using SincToy in the following steps:

    Delete the RAID 0 ;
    Copy one of the HD that was in the RAID to a partition of the same side in other HD, so they have initially the same folders and data ;
    Install SincToy and configure it to use the HD that was in the RAID and the partition ;
    Set Sinctoy in sincronize mode ;
    In that manner, all data writen to the HD that was RAID will be automatically written to to partition, and vice-versa?
    Is this doable? Or I am missing something here?
    Thanks in advance.
