Vista Activation problem after hard drive crash RRS feed

  • Question

  • My hard drive crashed on my MacBook that was running Parallels with Windows Vista Ultimate.  I purchased a larger drive and decided to run Boot Camp instead of Parallels since it really didn't work very well.  Now when I attempt to activate with my product key it returns that "the product key you typed is already in use".  Yes it was until a fatal hard drive crash!  Any help from Microsoft on how to reactivate a product key after a fatal crash?
