  • Hello, if you are able to obtain the following, http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/book.aspx?ID=13911&Locale=en-us
This book is a great resource and I have found it covers most (98%) of the exam.

  • @jimw81 - Wanted to see what you ended up doing. I studied the Sybex book and took Kaplan Self Test practice exams and still ended up failing. I was confident going in there that I knew the material 10 fold...but it didnt work out.

  • Don't feel bad, I'm also a Kaplan student and I'm using the Microsoft's traning kit book. I got a 100% on the tests in the book but failed the Microsoft exam.  I'm not sure what I have to do to pass the test.  Let me ask you a question, is Kaplan providing any hands-on training.  I'm taking the online course and they said there would be hands-on through the I.T Acamedy but didn't see any.

  • I've read on several forums that the Microsoft Press book is pretty bad. That's the main reason why I decided to get other certs first (A+, Net+, Sec+), waiting for someone else to release a decent book. I just started this book:

    http://www.amazon.com/MCTS-70-680-Cert-Guide-Configuring/dp/0789747073/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1295734550&sr=8-9

It seems pretty in-depth, but I am only on Chapter 3.

  • This book is what Kaplan College uses for their course. I went through the book, took and passed with a 100% on the test and studied for another week and failed the microsoft 70-680 exam.  I'm starting to think this is a scam.

  • Same thing happened to me. Studied the book, got good grades  80-90% on practice tests then bombed the exam. The book is awful...

  • I have not attempted the test yet - but this site has free videos that I have found to be so much easier to follow than merely studying the book:
