access denied connecting to the headnode RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everybody

Using HPC Pack domain users cannot connect to the headnode. It gives the error ‘Unable to connect to headnode, access denied to user’.

The domain user is assigned the User Role in the configuration on headnode, if the same user is assigned Administrator Role, the user is able to run HPC Job Manager.

When the User Role assigned to the domain user, I checked the local users group, the domain user was present.

Could you please help me on this issue.

    Regards

    Asim

  • Hi Asim,

I think you are using the Cluster Manager app to connect to the cluster with user privs. which is not possible as this app is only meant to be used by cluster admins.   Try using the HPC Job Manager to connect to the cluster with user privileges instead.

    Thanks,

    -Christian
