Windows 7 Pro volume license installed deactivated RRS feed

  • Question

  • Computer has been up and running on a Windows 7 Pro volume license for several years.   I have started getting "The computer is not running genuine Windows" popup.  The Computer Properties says Windows is activated.  I tried running slmgr.vbs -ipk  andslmgr.vbs -ato with another of our volume licenses but the message is still popping up.  Here is the result of the MGA Diagnostics Tool.

  • While waiting for a reply to my post I kept researching and found the KB3024777 fix for the problem.  No more mismatched files found during the MGADiag run.

Thanks for your reply.  I am sure it will help others having the same problem.

  • If KB3004394 is installed - uninstall it, reboot twice, then do a Check for Updates and install the new version you'll find there.

Then reboot again, run another MGADiag report, and post the results.
