    I have just installed WHS and then installed WHS connector software on my Vista PC as per instructions.

    The problem is when using WHS console I get an error message saying

     

    This Computer has lost its connection to your home server. Check you network connection and make sure your home server is powered on. Then try to connect again.

     

    Also when using Remote Desktop I get the following message

     

    Because of an error in data encryption, this session will end. Please try connecting to the remote computer again.

     

    Are these two error messages related?

    Sevie,

    There is a Microsoft KB article, referring to an error like this. Does the symptoms look the same, and if so, there is a work-around.

    Also,prior to that, it would be worthwhile downloading the WHS Toolkit, installing it, and using the ConnectorTroubleShooter.exe

    Thankyou for this but I think I have found a problem with the motherboard I was using so I sent this back to manufacturers for testing.
