Audio problem with Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there!

I've tested CXP Client 4 on two laptops with clean Vista installed. A test on the microphone (Settings->Audio/Video->Test Audio) revealed CXP Client is not processing the microphone audio properly. Whenever I run the audio test for the mic, a distorted sound. Apparently this happens to both laptops.

However, other video/audio sources (e.g. from Windows XP client) can be heard propoerly with no distortion.

Can you let me know if Conference XP Client 4 is really compatible with Vista? As far as I know, video in/out works but not audio going out from the mic.

  • On my Vista laptop I found that the audio with the default format was somewhat choppy.  In my case it got better when I did this:

    -turn on 'test audio'

    -click advanced settings

    -uncheck enable audio compression

-find a format that sounds better (I picked 16 bit, mono, 22khz)

-check enable audio compression, click Close
