Home & Student 2007

I also have trouble with my product key for the M/O Home & Student 2007. I had installed it on my old computer, and have since bought a new laptop, and installed the program, which I have purchased, with the Product Key on the inside of the case. It always comes up with an incorrect Product Key etc, and I can't seem to get past this stage. I am too worried about uninstalling it and reinstalling it as it is licensed for 3 PC's. I have windows Home Premium 7 with plenty of memory.Sunday, November 21, 2010 4:19 AM

Uninstall any Office software (trial and activation assistant if present ) on the new computer. That is the most common issue with not accepting a product key. Also don't worry about three installs. That is three computers with the software installed and activated at the same time. You can reinstall as many times as necessary on the same computer to make the product work. You may have to use telephone activation after a certain number of reinstalls however.- Proposed as answer by Darin Smith MS Tuesday, November 23, 2010 8:12 PM

I agree with LVTravel. Most new PCs come with a Trial version of Office. Most likely your new PC did also and the window that is coming up asking for the Product Key is probably from the Trial Office, not your Home & Student 2007. Uninstalling the Trial version of Office should resolve the issue.
