It seems I am having a similar problem to many others that have asked questions on this forum. Last night my computer started behaving oddly, so I shut it down attributing the issue to over-heating. When I started it up this morning, i received a notification
that there had been an unauthorized change made to Windows causing limited functionality. I clicked the Learn Online option which showed me nothing. I restarted my computer in Safe Mode with Networking and came to this forum to try to figure out how to fix
it. After getting a Diagnostic Report and seeing that the TTS Error had occurred this morning at 12:09 AM I followed the directions and downloaded a program that detects Malware. I ran a quick scan and removed everything that was infected and rebooted. I ran
the scan again, and nothing was found. So I rebooted again and tried to start up in Normal mode. This time I didn't get any sort of notification of a change, just a black screen where my desktop should have been.
So, I restarted in Safe Mode once again and came back to this forum and found another answer that suggested a System Restore. I followed those directions and restored my system to the state it was in on 7/1/11. The System Restore was "successful" but I am
still not able to get to my desktop when I start my computer in the normal mode. I ran another Diagnostic Report. If there are any more suggestions as to a solution, they would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!
