Freezing/Unauthorize change has been made to Windows Error

-
So in the last month or so, my laptop's had some issues, and especially in the last week or so. I've gotten the blue screen once or twice, but the main problem is that my laptop just freezes a lot, roughly once a day. And a lot of times, upon start up, I get an error stating that an unauthorized change has been made to Windows, which may result in limited Windows functionality.
Now, if I power it off and start it up again I can usually use it fine, but it's happening basically every day, so there's clearly something wrong.

If your system is freezing a lot, then that of itself can be causing the non-genuine message. You need to sort that out first.I suggest that you post your problems with details in the Windows Vista Answers forum here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-system?page=1&tab=allFrom the looks of the report above your problems may be the result of a malware infection that has been improperly dealt with.

In addition to Noel's post, your Diagnostic Report also suggests that you may have an issue with Avast. Please see thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/thread/e2f066b3-2517-41bc-8fad-4c036f2f4ac8 and see if that resolved (at least) the 'Non-Genuine error' part of your issue.
Thank you,

I went there and they directed me back here...
Probably because you presented the problem as being with WGA - whereas it's primarily the result of a what I suspect is a malware infection.
