Ok, those steps allowed me to not have to activate my Vista, but I still can't see my files on my HD.  If I go to add/remove programs, there are several listed, but not in my programs menu, maybe because I'm in safe mode?  I am trying to retrieve my quicken files and pics.

If you cannot see files, then that's another matter entirely, and is usually the result of malware (and certainly not the result of a non-genuine system, or being in Sage Mode) - there is one type of malware which hides the user's files open a Windows Explorer window, and click on Organize, then 'Folder and Search Options' - click on the View tab, and then UNcheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' and click on 'Show hidden files and folders' Click on Apply and then OK - now look for your files.
If you can see them now, but they are greyed out, then they were hidden by your malware, right-click on each folder, and select Properties. in the General tab, remove the 'blob' from the Hidden box, and click Apply - then select 'Apply to all files and sub-folders.' and click OK.

You should also run a Full System Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - www.malwarebytes.org free version - do NOT activate the real-time scanner option, as it may interfere with your anti-virus. Delete everything it finds.

It looks to me as if your Licensing Store is corrupted.
Please try the below steps to recreate the Store files. This may resolve the issue.

    1) Open an Internet Browser window.
    2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
    3) Find the file CMD.exe
    4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
    5) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes - or it may say that it's not running - this is OK)
    6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
    7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    9) Type: net start slsvc
    10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)

    Reboot TWICE
If necessary, then you may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate.

    Reboot

Once complete, please post back with a new MGADiag report

You should also be aware that your installation of Office is non-genuine.
