In MS CRM, the concept of opportunity is more related to a specific deal potential with a specific customer. Because you might have 100 customers and each of them be on a different opportunity stage, and maybe you win some of them and lose others, you cannot
track all customers with the same opportunity, you'd need one opp per customer.
Perhaps you were thinking more about the Campaign / Quick Campaign entities in CRM which can be used to promote a specific product/service at once with multiple accounts/leads/contacts.
