Creating multiple opportunites at the same time RRS feed

  • Question

  • We sell marketing services to a group of businesses that "sign up" to use our service.  Each month there is a marketing product that we need to sell to ALL of our existing accounts.  Is there an easy way to mark ALL of the accounts for a particular opportunity so that we can track where they are in the sales process?

We are brand new users of MS Dynamics CRM 2011.  Previously used ACT 2.0 database, so I am very new to the functionality of a full CRM program.

Thanks for any guidance anyone can offer.

  • Thanks for the info.  I will look more closely at Campaigns and Quick Campaigns.  Like I said, this is all very new to me!

    I appreciate your help.

  • In MS CRM, the concept of opportunity is more related to a specific deal potential with a specific customer. Because you might have 100 customers and each of them be on a different opportunity stage, and maybe you win some of them and lose others, you cannot track all customers with the same opportunity, you'd need one opp per customer.

Perhaps you were thinking more about the Campaign / Quick Campaign entities in CRM which can be used to promote a specific product/service at once with multiple accounts/leads/contacts.
