"Product Key is alredy in use" RRS feed

  • I just bought my Windows Live OneCare, and when I finnally get to the part where I type the Product Key to finish my setup, a message appears saying "This Product Key is already in use", even though it's the first time I activate it!

    Why does this message appear and what am I supposed to do?

    Please respond ASAP.

  • If you are encountering this message with a first time use of a retail CD, please return the CD to the store and exchange it as you have either received a duplicate product key (which I've never actually heard of) or someone returned this used copy of OneCare to the store.
