Help with IFD Configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have an issue configuring IFD.

I have a public IP and am able to access crm through this IP over the internet.

I have run the IFD tool and setup IFD on the CRM Server. I am able to access the crm server internally and it pops up the signin page.

But when i try to access from internet it shows page cannot be displayed.

Can some body provide me a step by step instructions on configuring the IFD setup.  I have already gone through the IFD Scenarious document.

    Thanks,

    Billy

  • Billy,

You need to use a different url syntac for IFD than for non-IFD.

    Perhaps that is the issue?

    For example:

    non IFD http://crm.mycompany.com:5555/orgname
    IFD http://orgname.mycompany.com:5555

  • Hi Jerry,

Thank you for your response. I would like to know how do we setup the Public IP to point to CRM. How will it resolve if we type http://orgname.mycompany.com:5555 from the internet.

Do we have to set up some thing with the ISP ?

Could you shed some lights on this ?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Billy

  • Billy,

You will need to set up a A record for http://orgname.mycompany.com and then at your firewall open port 5555 and redirect it to the CRM server.
